SYMPOSIUM OPEN DECKS – SUMMER EDITION @ TUNA RAKPART IN COLLAB WITH @ RADISH RADIO – OPEN CALL

After the outstanding success of the winter editions at Turbina, on July 23 we return with a new Open Decks Summer Edition at Tuna Rakpart.
We continue our collaboration with Radish Radio while expanding the platform and creating new opportunities for emerging artists to connect, grow, and share their music.
The past editions have already led to concrete outcomes: several artists have been featured on Radish Radio, while others have been invited to play at our party series ROOTZ. Some participants have also gone on to develop new collaborations, international exchanges, and further opportunities within the scene.
This is the direction we want to keep building — creating continuity between moments and real opportunities for growth.
This Summer Edition is particularly dedicated to DJs working within the worlds of house, tech house, minimal, microhouse, deep house, and related sounds that resonate with the atmosphere of Tuna Rakpart.
We keep celebrating the diversity of our community and aim to make it even stronger — same values, same community, this time by the river.
Our goal is to create a positive and inclusive atmosphere where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
This event is an opportunity for emerging DJs from all backgrounds who share our commitment to respect and inclusivity to become part of our community, perform on a professional setup, and be heard.
Four participants will be selected from all applicants to play a one-hour set using professional equipment in front of everyone attending the event. Applications are open to both solo artists and B2B projects.
This call is open to those who:
• are able to perform a one-hour set using professional equipment (CDJs and mixer);
• want to take a step forward by sharing their music in a public and professional environment.
This is not a contest. It’s a real, concrete, professional space — to step forward, grow, be heard, share your music, and become part of a community that continues to create opportunities beyond a single event.
The BAS crew will be present throughout the performances to offer technical and organizational support if needed.

• Include a link to a DJ set that best represents the kind of music you’d like to play (your podcast must be submitted via the form).
We’ll select four artists (solo or B2B) based on the applications received and the overall coherence of the lineup.
The results will be announced by July 9.
In addition, some applicants will be selected to be streamed on Radish Radio and later released on its SoundCloud channel.
Applicants from previous Open Decks are also welcome to apply again, especially those who feel that the musical focus of this Summer Edition offers a particularly suitable context to showcase their sound.
Priority, though not exclusively, will be given to those who have already participated in one or more Budapest Art Symposium events.
We believe in the power of sharing. We want to offer space to those who have talent but fewer opportunities — contributing to a more open, connected, and inclusive scene.
