A Show Me The Body új lemezével érkezik a Turbinába.
A New York-i post-hardcore trió júliusban jelenteti meg Alone Together című negyedik nagylemezét, amelyet még frissiben be is mutatnak a magyar közönségnek augusztus 17-én, a Turbina Kulturális Központban.
A Show Me The Body egy New York-i post-hardcore zenekar, akik 2009 óta aktívak. A trió mindeddig három nagylemezt adott ki, dalaikban szívesen nyúlnak a hip hophoz, a zajzenékhez és a sludge metalhoz is ihletért. A csapat legutóbb 2024-ben CORPUS II címen dobott ki egy mixtape-t, áprilisban azonban új dallal jelentkeztek. A Dance In The USA zúzása a július 10-én érkező Alone Together című nagylemez felvezetése.
Az Alone Together egy album arról, hogyan válik a hit cselekvéssé. A nyitósor – „a radikális szeretet arra késztet, hogy harcoljak” – megélt tapasztalatot tükröz: azt, amikor kiállunk egymásért és azért, amiben hiszünk, függetlenül a következményektől. A Klas Åhlund és Kenneth Blume III producerekkel közösen dolgozó Show Me The Body új kontextusba helyezte saját zenei nyelvét, amely most fókuszáltabb, sürgetőbb és letisztultabb, mint valaha. Az Alone Together nem a hangulatteremtésről szól, hanem a közvetlen kommunikációról: egy felhívás arra, hogy cselekvésre ösztönözzük önmagunkat és a körülöttünk lévőket.
Míg a banda korábbi kiadványai New York városáról és New York ellen szóltak, addig az Alone Together esetében a város inkább „szellemként lebeg a háttérben” Julian Cashwan Pratt énekesük megfogalmazása szerint. A korábbi nyers, ellenséges energiák helyét most kétségbeesett vallomások vették át, amelyek gyakran foglalkoznak a mentális egészséggel is – mint például a Do What’s Right című dalban -, ugyanakkor a lemez megjár mélységeket is, amelyeket váratlan örömkitörések, az új élet és a régi barátok inspiráltak.
A Show Me The Body utoljára 2024-ben járt nálunk, hamarosan pedig ismét élőben tombolhatunk dalaikra augusztus 17-én, a Turbinában. A koncertre a jegyértékesítés május 29-én, 10 órakor indul a www.livenation.hu és a www.funcode.hu oldalakon.

Show Me The Body bring their new album to Turbina.
The New York post-hardcore trio will release their fourth full-length album, Alone Together, in July, and will present the new material to the Hungarian audience shortly after on August 17 at Turbina Cultural Center.
Show Me The Body are a New York-based post-hardcore band who have been active since 2009. So far, the trio have released three full-length albums, drawing inspiration from hip hop, noise music and sludge metal throughout their songs. Most recently, the band released a mixtape titled CORPUS II in 2024, but returned with a brand new track this April. The crushing Dance In The USA serves as the first taste of their upcoming album Alone Together, arriving on July 10.
Alone Together is an album about turning belief into action. Its opening line – “radical love compels me to fight” – reflects lived experience: standing up for one another and for what we believe in, regardless of the consequences. Working alongside producers Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume III, Show Me The Body have recontextualized their core musical language into something more focused, urgent and clear than ever before. Alone Together is not about atmosphere, but about direct communication: a call to push ourselves and the people around us into action.
While the band’s earlier releases were about New York City – and against New York City – Alone Together presents the city more like “a ghost hovering in the background,” as vocalist Julian Cashwan Pratt describes it. The raw and hostile energy of previous records has now been replaced by desperate confessions that often touch on mental health as well – such as on the track Do What’s Right. At the same time, the album also explores emotional depths shaped by sudden bursts of joy, new life and old friendships.
